Registration requirements for a Jackson Food Pantry Client:
Identification
- Valid Government issued Photo ID for each person 18 years old and older
- Social Security Card for each person (related or unrelated) living in a household that is receiving food from the Pantry
- College/Vocational School registration for students in household who have become 18 years old
- Birth Certificates for all children (related or unrelated) under the age of 18 living in household
Proof of Jackson Residency (required at each Distribution)
- Clients MUST be able to prove that they live in Jackson
- Current Rent Receipt or Lease/Mortgage Statement or
- Current Utility bill (Electric, Gas, Cable, Phone, etc.) with your Name and Address on it or
- Any mail from a Government Agency
- Each person 18 and older must show this proof of residency every month
Proof of Income: (all sources)
- Pay Stub, or letter from employer
- Direct Bank Deposit or statement
- Benefit Letter from Welfare, TANF/AFDC
- Food Stamps (Award letter)
- Child Support (letter)
- Alimony
- W2 Form from previous year
- Pension/Worker's Comp/Disability letter
- Unemployment papers
- SSI/SSD Award letter (whether permanent or temporary)
- Other income
Custody Papers: (Children under 18)
- Copy of papers for foster children, also
- Copy of Ward letter from WIC
Note:
We reserve the right to refuse anyone at the pantry site who is considered under the influence of drugs or alcohol; or who, in any way, shows prejudicial discrimination toward or against another person or group, or displays abusive or disruptive behavior.
